Meet Scott Schlager

I'm Scott Schlager, and I've owned and operated Green Shield Home Solutions for years — built to do this the right way, as an honest local owner instead of another commissioned salesman knocking on your door. We're a retail roofing company, not a storm-chaser: I'm not here to file an insurance claim and vanish. I'm the local owner you'll still be able to call years from now.

I've spent 30 years in Western New York home improvement. In 2009 the National Association of Home Builders named me their "CGA of the Year" — a national award recognizing leadership in the building industry. I'm also a NAHB Certified Green Professional, and I served on the boards of the Buffalo Niagara Builders Association and the New York State Builders Association. I don't say that to brag — I say it so you know who's standing on your roof.

Here's what sets Green Shield apart: I'm an NRCIA Certified Roof Inspector, credentialed by the National Roof Certification & Inspection Association. That is what separates me. The written inspection is a $500 report. Take $250 off — you pay $250. That's enough to keep the Saturday looky-loos out. Estimates for the work stay free. If your roof has years left, I'll tell you. That honesty is the whole business.

Roofs are just the start. I ran a window franchise for seven years and represented a national window manufacturer in the field, so I know windows cold — Green Shield specializes in ProVia, the professional-class brand. I've sold and installed siding, seamless gutters, gutter protection, and blown-in insulation for decades. Whatever your home's exterior needs, you get one expert who's actually done all of it.

This company carries my name and my family's future in it. I treat every home like it's my own, and I'm building something here that lasts — for my customers and for the people I love. That's the green shield: real protection, from someone who actually stands behind it.
